Michelle Zhang is an illustrator and designer whose work focuses on telling the stories and emotions of characters both real and fictional. She also goes by “Crab-san” across different social media platforms. She is based in Houston, Texas. She is the only child of two immigrant Chinese parents.

Her goals when it comes to her works are drawing out the emotions of her audience through color and style. Her current and longest-running project is her WEBTOON “The Devil Flirts with Me,” which has reached over 24,000 subscribers and over 1 million hits on WEBTOON’s platform. Her passion is telling stories through artwork and words, and she’s thrilled to bits to share bits and pieces of her imagination with the world! Outside of her comic, she’s done animation work for ALTER EGO, a psychological-horror indie game (available on Steam!) as well as C:\ATASTROPHE, a winner of the 2023 Austin Game Jam.

Fun fact: she’s actually allergic to crabs (and all other shellfish)!
